Abstract:
Rare earth and extractant were recovered from wastewater of rare earth smelting process by mixing different kinds of wastewater. Effects of mole mixture ratio (Rm) of saponification wastewater and oxalic acid precipitate of wastewater on recovery of rare earth; and effects of pH value, ultrasound-assisted intensity and time on recovery of extractant were investigated. The results show that the maximum recovery rate of rare earth is 62% with Rm of 1︰1.2. Recovery rate of extractant is 51%~52%. Ultrasound contributes to recovery of extractant, but ultrasonic frequency has no significant effect on recovery of extractant. Extractant recovery rate is 59% when ultrasound-assisted time is 30 min.
