Abstract:
Residue of refractory gold ore after pressure oxidation pretreatment was leached by carbon-in-leach (CIL). Effects of pH, slurry-mixing time, active carbon concentration, initial concentration of NaCN, and leaching time on gold leaching rate were investigated. The results show that gold leaching rate is 95.34% with NaCN consumption of 0.27~0.29 kg/t under the optimum conditions including active carbon concentration of 60 kg/t, CaO consumption of 35 kg/t, initial concentration of NaCN of 1.5 kg/t, slurry-mixing time of 2 h, and leaching duration of 2~4 h at room temperature. This process has the advantages of fast reaction kinetics, high gold leaching rate, and low consumption of NaCN.
