Abstract:
Process mineralogy and leaching mechanism in sulfuric acid system of high siliceous stone coal vanadium ore were investigated. The results show that vanadium is difficult to be leached from schreyerite, vanadium-bearing rutile, and sulvanite by sulfuric acid with/without fluoride addition, while vanadium is easy to be leached from vanadate and vanadium limonite by sulfuric acid through destruction of its crystal structure by hydrogen ion. Vanadium leaching rate in sulfuric acid system with/without fluoride addition is 50% below and 90% above respectively. The intensified leaching mechanism of fluoride is to destroy Si-O bond in crystal structure of silicate minerals by complex ion formed from HF and F- under promotion of H3O . HF serves as catalyzer in leaching process.
