Abstract:
Mathematical and physical models were established based on structure of novel 6 kA cerium electrolytic cell. Distribution of electric and magnetic fields in electrolytic cell was investigated by finite element simulation with COMSOL software according to Maxwell electromagnetic equations and Biot-Savart law. The results show that area between cathode and anode is the main area for electrolysis and magnetic field generated by current. Magnetic field distributes only in circumferential direction with zero in direction of axial and radial.
