Abstract:
Ausmelt double top-blowing smelting process was introduced. Control of matte grade under different material feeding in smelting was analyzed. Reasonable copper matte grade is controlled at 52%~55% when feeding material grade is ≤20%, while matte grade is controlled at 55%~60% when feeding material grade is ≥20. Operating practice for judging real-time matte grade based on feedback of smelting furnace working condition, smelting temperature, section shapes and colors of hot matte, and sulfur content in slag of electric furnace is summarized to keep stability of matte grade.
