Abstract:
      Copper was leached from chalcocite in sulfuric acid solution applying H2O2 and Fe2 (SO4)3 as oxidizing agents, and NaCl as assistant leaching agent. The results show that copper leaching rate is 94.33% under the optimum conditions including reaction temperature of 85 ℃, reaction time of 3 h, and concentration of H2O2, Fe2(SO4)3, NaCl, and H2SO4 of 0.2, 0.25, 0.5, 0.5 mol/L respectively. XRD and EDS were used to characterize leaching residues upon different time to reveal reaction mechanism of chalcocite.
