Abstract:
Adsorption performance of CL-P204 levextrel resin for V(IV) was studied. The effects of pH value of solution, oscillation time, initial vanadium concentration, and temperature on adsorption capacity were investigated. Adsorption thermodynamics and kinetics as well as isothermal adsorption model were analyzed. The results show that adsorption of CL-P204 resins can achieve equilibrium after 8 h with saturation adsorption capacity of 34.2 mg/g for V(IV) at 298 K and pH=1.6. Levextrel resin can maintain good absorption capacity after 4 cycles. Adsorption of V(IV) on levextrel resin is in accordance with pseudo-second order kinetic equation and Langmuir isothermal adsorption equation, and adsorption process is a spontaneous reaction from endothermic entropy increase.
