Abstract:
      Effect of ZnO addition on desulfurization process of high sulfur bauxite under optimal conditions was investigated. The results show that sulfur dissolution rate drops with increase of ZnO addition, while alumina dissolution rate remains unchanged. S2- content in solution drops with increase of ZnO addition, while other sulfur valence state has no change. Under the optimal conditions of dissolution, alumina dissolution rate of samples with different sulfur content remains unchanged after adding ZnO, while sulfur dissolution rate rises with increase of sulfur content. ZnO addition of 10% is suitable for high sulfur bauxite with sulfur content of 1.373% below.
