| Abstract: |
| Effect of slag additives on smelting reduction of vanadium-titanium magnetite concentrate pellets was investigated. Slag type was optimized. The results show that slag alkalinity, MgO dosage, and Al2O3 dosage have significant effect on smelting reduction products of vanadium-titanium magnetite concentrate. Under the optimum conditions with additive addition, pig iron reduced at 1 500 ℃ for 10 min contains 96.90% of iron and 0.52% of vanadium, while slag contains 66.13% TiO2. Iron and vanadium are efficiently separated from titanium in vanadium-titanium magnetite concentrate. |
