Abstract:
Roasting reaction kinetics of waste rare earth fluorescent powders with sodium hydroxide was studied. The effects of roasting temperature and ratio of sodium hydroxide to waste rare earth fluorescent powders on roasting reaction rate were investigated. Model of reaction kinetics was obtained. The results show that roasting process meets shrinking core model with apparent activation energy of 77.512 kJ/mol. Chemical reaction rate has significant influence on reaction process. The kinetic equation is 1-(1-x)1/3=0.4181×exp[-77512/(RT)]t.
