Abstract:
      Uniformity of acid distribution is particularly important for packing towers with lower gas velocity. The obvious advantages of multi-dish acid distributor include more uniformity of acid distribution and wider adjustment rate. With one 400 kt/a metallurgical acid plant as object, design parameters and adjustable performances of multi-dish acid distributors in cooling tower, drying and absorption towers are introduced. Uniform growing of particles of dilute acid is key to cooling towers. Reduction spraying density promotes improvement of drying and absorption rates. Evaporation of smaller acid mist droplet controls drying rate. Narrowing temperature difference between inlet gas and outlet acid at tower bottom is benefitial to drop chemical acid mist in absorption towers.
