Abstract:
Effect of high-sulfur coke on physicochemical indexes of aluminum prebaked anode was investigated. Reactivity (quality residual rate) to resist CO2 for prebaked anode with certain percentage of high-sulfur coke is higher than that of with low-sulfur coke, but there is no obvious difference as for reactivity to resist air. Compared with low-sulfur coke prebaked anode, high-sulfur coke prebaked anode has higher element content of Ca, V, and Ni, and lower element content of Na. Reactivity of anode rises with increase of microelement. Compared with low-sulfur coke prebaked anode, high-sulfur coke prebaked anode has better indexes of electrical resistivity, compression strength, and porosity.
