Abstract:
Hydrochemical characteristics and distribution characteristics of uranium were analyzed with Linshui River downstream of uranium mine as research object. Effect of uranium mine on river water at different seasons was verified. The results show that river water is of low salinity with TDS range of 25.84~45.68 mg/L. In normal season, hydrochemistry type of upstream is HCO3-Ca, while that of midstream is HCO3-SO4-Ca. This phenomenon isn’t outstanding in raining season. Uranium in river varies with temporal and spatial distributions. Uranium content rises firstly and then drops from upstream to downstream; uranium content in normal season is higher than that in raining season. According to radionuclide uranium contamination levels evaluated by single factor index, only the midstream is contaminated, but uranium content of the whole drainage basin of Linshui River is far lower than the limit content of WHO within regulatory limits.
