Abstract:
Copper-cyanide-bearing wastewater of one mine was treated by "activated carbon adsorption-desorption combined process". Effect of pH value of solution for adsorption and adsorption mode on copper adsorption rate in adsorption stage was investigated. Effects of desorption mode, desorption time, and concentration of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide of desorption solution on copper desorption rate from activated carbon in desorption stage were investigated. The results show that copper adsorption rate stabilizes at 90% above with copper content in activated carbon of 31.4 kg/t under the conditions including pH value of solution for adsorption of 8, and adsorption time of 1.5 h with 5 level series adsorption. Copper desorption rate from activated carbon is 87.6% under the conditions including concentration of sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide of 3% and 2 g/L respectively, and adsorption time of 7 h. Copper recovery of the whole process is 78% above.
