Abstract:
Extraction performance of gallium by P204, P507, and P535 in sulfuric acid system was compared. The results show that P204 and P507 can only extract gallium with low H2SO4 concentration, and extraction rate of gallium significantly drops upon H2SO4 concentration exceeding 10 g/L. P535 can achieve direct extraction of gallium from high acidity sulfuric acid system (>20 g/L) and efficient separation of Ga from Zn, Cu, and Ge. Separation coefficient of βGa/Zn, βGa/Cu and βGa/Ge by P535 is 4 573, 1 663, and 651 respectively. P535 is expected to be applied to extract gallium from high acid leaching lixivium of zinc hydrometallurgical slag.
