| Abstract: |
| Thermodynamic model of dissolution of CaCO3 in glutamate aqueous solution (Glu2--H2O system) was constructed according to thermodynamic equilibrium equations in the system. Thermodynamic results of total concentration of Ca2 , concentration of free Ca2 , concentration of free Glu2-, concentration of free CO32-, species distribution of Ca2 , and species distribution of Glu2- were investigated respectively in the system at 298 K. The results show that CaCO3 can be dissolved in acidic Glu2--H2O system for acid leaching by glutamic acid. CaCO3 cannot be dissolved in alkaline Glu2--H2O system for complex-leaching by Glu2- due to weak coordination ability of Glu2- with Ca2 . |
