Abstract:
Zinc calcine was applied to remove magnesium from zinc solution. Excess zinc calcine was applied to precipitate zinc from solution and magnesium remained in solution. Compared with traditional lime method, this process has no other impurities to add. Zinc content in solution after precipitation is 1.5 g/L below with zinc recovery of 95% above, and magnesium removal rate is 80% under the conditions including grain size of zinc oxide of 22 μm, reaction time of 2.5 h, temperature of 60 ℃, and zinc oxide dosage of 2.3~2.6 t for one ton of waste electrolyte.
