Abstract:
      Special requirements on particle size and concentration of mineral products in zinc pressure leaching were analyzed. Traditional ball milling and newly introduced vertical sand milling were analyzed and their deficiencies were pointed out. The advanced and appropriative vertical screw agitating mill technology was developed for zinc oxidizing pressure leaching. Applications and technical advantages of vertical agitating mill in zinc oxygen pressure leaching in Western Mining Corporation with capacity of 100 kt/a were introduced. Particle size of final product of -45 μm is 96%~98% under the conditions including feed particle size of -75 μm of 50%, grinding concentration of 65%~68%. Both investment and operation cost is only 1/3 of imported vertical sand mill based on comparison of technical and economic indexes.
