| Abstract: |
| Bauxite was high-pressure digested by Bayer process. Effects of digestion time, digestion temperature, lime addition, and concentration of caustic alkali on alumina digestion and iron oxide enrichment in red mud were investigated. The results show that real digestion rate of alumina is 79.6% and iron oxide enrichment in red mud is up to 32.1% under the optimum conditions including digestion time of 50 min, digestion temperature of 260 ℃, lime dosage of 6%, and concentration of caustic alkali of 235 g/L. |
