Abstract:
Magnesium hydroxide was recovered from nickel-precipitation wastewater of laterite nickel ore with lime milk. Effects of various factors on purity of magnesium hydroxide and filtration rate were investigated. The results show that magnesium hydroxide with purity of 99.2% is prepared, and filtration rate of solution is 7.37 m3/(m2?h) under the optimum conditions including translation temperature of 80 ℃, translation time of 80 min, dosage of -0.1 mm lime milk of 10% concentration of 95% of the theoretical amount, and drip rate of lime milk of 4 mL/ min.
