| Abstract: |
| Ti-C-O solid solution similar with anode material of USTB titanium electrolysis process was obtained by sintering of TiC and TiO2 at 900 ℃. Electrochemical behavior of Ti-C-O solid solution in NaCl-KCl molten salt at 750 ℃ was investigated. The results show that electrochemical dissolution occurs, with element Ti dissolving into molten salt system as metal ion, while C and O evolving into CO and CO2 gases. Metal titanium is deposited in cathode upon electrolysis with Ti-C-O solid solution as anode. |
