Abstract:
Manganese and lead were recovered from manganese anode slimes via reduction roasting-acid leaching process with sulfur as reductant and H2SO4 as leaching agent. The effects of sulfur dosage, roasting temperature, roasting time, leaching time, and H2SO4 dosage on manganese extraction and lead enrichment were investigated. The results show that manganese extraction rate is 98% and lead content in slag is 30.5% under the optimum conditions including mass rate of sulfur to manganese anode slimes of 1.0, roasting temperature of 300 ℃, roasting time of 60 min, molar rate of H2SO4 to manganese of 0.9, leaching temperature of 25 ℃, and leaching time of 20 min.
