Abstract:
Pretreatment of oxidation roasting at low temperature with CaCO3 for two kinds of sphalerite was proposed. The results show that sphalerite in sample No.1 with 11.46%Zn is completely transformed into easily soluble ZnO, sulfur is fixed as CaSO4 by CaCO3 when roasted at 300 ℃ for 3 h. Leaching rate of zinc in calcine of No.1 sample in NH3-(NH4)2SO4-H2O system at 45 ℃ for 1 h is 100.0%. However, for No.2 sample with 49.25%Zn, the leaching rate of zinc is only 91.76% under the same conditions due to its complex mineral composition.
