Abstract:
Effects of reaction conditions on leaching of silicon in cryolite synthesized from leaching waste solution of complexation extraction of rare earth concentrates were investigated. The results show that silicon leaching rate is 35% above under the optimum conditions including hydrochloric acid concentration of 4 mol/L, aluminum chloride concentration of 1.5 mol/L, reaction time of 120 min, L/S=30︰1, stirring speed of 300 r/min, and temperature of 85 ℃. Silicon in cryolite really enters into solution during complexation extraction of rare earth concentrates.
