| Abstract: |
| Acetamide-based ionic liquid was synthesized by mixing acetamide and anhydrous aluminum chloride at room temperature. The results of cyclic voltammograms show that aluminum could be electrodeposited from this ionic liquid. Electrodeposition process is quasi-reversible and mainly influenced by mass diffusion and kinetic limitations. Temperature and current density has significant influence on surface morphology of aluminum. The preferred crystallographic orientation of crystals is (200) on electrode. Compared with traditional methods, this process has advantages of easy operation, high chemical stability, and high efficiency. |
