| Abstract: |
| Quenching and cooling performance of quenching medium was measured by KHR-A portable cooling medium performance tester. Effects of water, quenching oil, and PAG quenching medium with different concentrations on performance of electrical round aluminum rods were investigated. The sample treated by 510 ℃×6 h solid solution and quenched in 13% PAG has uniform structure without white particle precipitation in grain. Only a small amount of white particles precipitate in grain boundary. The sample has comprehensive performance with tensile strength of 112 MPa, elongation rate of 10%, and electrical conductivity of 55.90 IACS%. |
