| Abstract: |
| New method to remove iron from sulfuric acid leaching solution of pelagic clay by iron phosphate method (IPM) was studied. The effects of phosphate dosage, pH value of terminal point, and temperature on iron removal were investigated and compared with neutralization precipitation method (NPM). The results show that iron removal rate is 94.77% and Y3 loss rate is only 1.37% under the optimum conditions including phosphate dosage of 1.2 times of theoretical value, temperature of 30℃, and pH value of terminal point of 2.5. Iron removal rate of IPM is close to NPM, but Y3 loss rate of IPM is far lower than that of NPM. IPM also has the advantages of high reaction rate and easy filtering performance. |
