Abstract:
Effects of leaching temperature, leaching time, and granularity of roasted ore on leaching rate of rare earth (RE) and iron were investigated with water leaching process for sulfuric acid roasting ore from rare earth concentrate as object. Occurrence of RE in water leaching residue was studied. The results show that leaching temperature and granularity of roasted ore exert big influence on leaching speed of RE and iron, but no influence on leaching rate of RE and iron. Soluble RE and iron in roasting ore can be leached out as long as leaching time is long enough,. RE exists in leaching residue in form of phosphate or rare earth fluoride. Iron exists in form of iron phosphate with a few of iron sulfide.
