Abstract:
Carbonaceous rock bearing organic carbon but free from gold was selected to investigate adsorption of natural organic carbon on gold cyanide complex-ion in precious liquid. The results show that natural organic carbon has different adsorption ability in different gold complex-ion systems, such as, content of natural organic carbon is 11 times higher in [Au(CN)4]- system than that in [AuI4]- system. In [Au(CN)4]- system, the initial adsorption rate is very high with thin film diffusion controlling type, but finally turns to be very slow with particle diffusion controlling. The adsorption type accords with Freundlich model when gold cyanide concentration is 3~70 μg/mL.
