Abstract:
Static and continuous flowing experiments of high chloride-bearing simulated sulfuric acid wastewater were carried out with self-made electrocatalytic oxidation device. Influencing factors and performance of chlorine by electrocatalytic oxidation were investigated. The results of static experiments show that removal rate of Cl- is 89.27% under the conditions including Cl- initial concentration of 1 000 mg/L, pH value of 1.2, current density of 21 mA/cm2, electrode distance of 1 cm, and electrolysis time of 30 min. The results of continuous flowing experiments show that removal rate of Cl- is 79.52% under the conditions including Cl- initial concentration of 1 000 mg/L, flow rate of 52.63 cm3/min, and electric current of 3.4 A. Removal rate of Cl- from industrial wastewater by electrocatalytic oxidation is 82.36%, and Cl- content of processed value is lower than recycling standard of GB/T 19923-2005.
