Abstract:
Fly ash was hydrothermally modified by adding Ca(OH)2 and Na2SO4 after calcinations. Surface characteristics of fly ash were analyzed by SEM. The results show that specific surface area of fly ash is 64.88 m2/g under the optimum conditions including temperature of 85 ℃, reaction time of 10 h, mass ratio of Na2SO4/Ca(OH)2 of 0.5︰1, and L/S of 12︰1. Adsorption capacity of fly ash on SO2 after modification is 10.5-time of that before modification.
