| Abstract: |
| Vacuum distillation of scandium was investigated based on theoretical analysis with 3N metal scandium ingots as raw materials. High purity scandium ingots were prepared by vacuum distillation and arc melting. The results show that 99.995% high purity scandium ingots can be obtained in self-designed and fabricated distillation apparatus under the conditions including pre-distillation temperature of 1 500 ℃ and distillation temperature of 1 560 ℃. |
