Abstract:
Soda roasting followed by pressure alkali leaching is performed to recover gallium from high iron-bearing bauxite. The effects of radio of Na2CO3, roasting time, roasting temperature, leaching temperature, alkali concentration, L/S, and leaching time on gallium leaching were examined. Leaching rate of gallium is 91.25% under the optimum conditions including roasting temperature of 1 000 ℃, roasting time of 60 min, ratio of Na2CO3 to bauxite of 1, leaching temperature of 160 ℃, leaching time of 120 min, alkali concentration of 150 g/L, and L/S of 15.
