| Abstract: |
| Electrolytic manganese slag was composted and fermented with different additives of biomass wastes. Occurrence forms and contents of heavy metals (As, Zn, Pb, Cd, Cu) in composted samples were analyzed by Stepwise Extraction to evaluate effect of substrate on occurrence forms of heavy metals in manganese slag composting. The results show that activated sludge exerts the biggest impact on occurrence forms of heavy metals in manganese residue before and after fermentation. After fermentation, heavy metals of water soluble state drop by different degree, but residual state rise significantly. Fermentation process can passivate heavy metals in manganese slag. |
