Abstract:
Effects of slow cooling system for high temperature copper slag on copper crystallization in slag phase and copper slag flotation were analyzed. The results show that the slower cooling of slag is, the bigger molecular size of copper slag becomes, which in turn facilities copper separation. With drop of cooling rate of copper slag, mineral crystals in copper slag becomes complete and continuous from fine dispersion, copper phase molecular easy to be recovered by flotation gradually aggregates to be enlarged. Mechanism of copper flotation recovery rate rising with lower cooling rate is illustrated.
