Abstract:
      Design and operation of sulfuric acid production device for 331 kt/a smelting flue gas were introduced. Purification process applies two-stage power wave purification and two-stage electric fog. Conversion process applies "3 2" conventional conversion process and imported catalyst. Tail gas treatment applies large-scale dry active coke desulfurization. The sulfuric acid production device was put into operation in september 2015. Since 2016, the total conversion rate has been maintained at 99.85% above with system capacity of 520 kt/a above by adjusting part of equipment and conversion catalyst against growing of side-blown smelting furnace. SO2 concentration is controlled within reasonable range for activated coke desulfurization device, to ensure normal smelting production.
