Abstract:
      Requirement of cooling system for slag ladle was analyzed in terms of safe production, flotation process, slag type, copper content of slag, and duration of water-cooling. The results show that natural cooling time for flash smelting slag ladle and converter slag ladle with normal copper in slag is 10 h and 28 h respectively with total cooling time of 60 h and 78 h respectively. On the other hand, natural cooling time for flash smelting slag ladle and converter slag ladle with copper with higher content in slag is 28 h and 48 h respectively with total cooling time of 78 h and 90 h respectively. Deslagging operation upon external wall temperature of slag ladle of 50 ℃ below can reduce molten slag, prevent blasting accidents, and facilitate subsequent process index optimization.
