Abstract:
Process to recover silver and rhenium from waste catalyst by dissolution technique was studied. Rhenium recovery rate is 86.2% after rhenium dissolution with hydrogen peroxide and rhenium extraction with ion exchange resin. The effects of nitric acid dosage and reaction temperature on leaching rate of silver were investigated. Silver recovery by electro-deposition is 93.21% under the optimum conditions including nitric acid dosage of 1.6 L and reaction temperature of 80 ℃. Total silver recovery rate is 99.6% above. Water recycling is realized when electrodeposition residue solution returns to nitric acid dissolution.
