| Abstract: |
| Antimony gold ore was alkaline leached to obtain antimony containing solution from which, cathode antimony was produced by cyclone electrolysis. Compared with traditional plate electrolysis, antimony cyclone electrolysis method has the advantages of high current density, favorable environment, high current efficiency, and ability to treat low grade ore. For solutions with antimony concentration of 6.59 g/L, current efficiency of cathode discharge is 43.80% and power consumption of per ton antimony is 6 157 kWh under the conditions including current density of 254.8 A/m2, circulation flow of 2.5 m3/h, and time of 6 h. For solutions with antimony concentration of 23.14 g/L, current efficiency of cathode discharge is 72.2% and power consumption of per ton antimony is 4 372 kWh under the conditions including current density of 647.3 A/m2, circulation flow of 2.5 m3/h, and time of 5 h. |
