Abstract:
Digestion performance of one low grade bauxite was developed by orthogonal, and extraction of aluminum and gallium from Bayer liquor was explored. The results show that decomposition rate of Al2O3 in sodium aluminate solution is 86.84% with alumina content of 62% above after seed precipitation of 72 h. After four-stage adsorption, total adsorption rate of gallium is 99.19% under the optimum conditions including adsorption time of 2 h and adsorption temperature of 45 ℃. Total recovery of gallium is 82.44% by hydrochloric acid elution, ammonia precipitation and roasting. The obtained concentrate Ga2O3 content of 32.45% can be used to produce high purity gallium oxide products.
