Abstract:
Titanium tetrachloride refined tailings were acid leached. Effects of L/S, hydrochloric acid dosage, leaching temperature, and leaching time on vanadium leaching rate were investigated. The results show that vanadium leaching rate is 97.1% under the optimum conditions including L/S=2︰1, volume ratio of hydrochloric acid (38%) to water of 1.1︰1, leaching temperature of 40 ℃, and leaching time of 30 min. Vanadium precipitation rate is 95.4% from acid leaching solution under the optimum conditions including precipitation temperature of 40 ℃, initial concentration of vanadium in acid leaching solution of <6 g/L, pH value of endpoint of 14~2.0, and dosage of H2O2 of 5~6 times of theoretical quantity. Ferric vanadate is prepared from precipitate by calcining at 550 ℃ for 3 h. Both vanadium precipitation slag and wastewater neutralization slag are suitable for permanent heap which meet the requirement of GB18599-2001 for general industrial solid waste.
