Abstract:
Purification with (NH4)3PO4 and separation of copper and cobalt with D001 ion exchange resin were applied to treat ammonia leaching solution from copper-cobalt oxidation ore by two-step ammonia pressure leaching. The removal rate of impurities of Ca, Fe and Mg is 98.37%, 98.33% and 96.3% respectively with no loss of main element of Cu and Co under the conditions including ammonia leaching solution of 250 mL, stirring speed of 500 r/min, mass of (NH4)3PO4 of 3 times of total amount of Fe, Ca, and Mg in ammonia leaching solution, reaction temperature of 25 ℃, and reaction time of 30 min. The results of static ion exchange separation experiment show that copper adsorption rate is 91.88% and cobalt adsorption rate is 1.87% below under the conditions including dosage of D001 exchange resin of 10 g, ammonia leaching solution after purification of 200 mL, temperature of 30 ℃, and thermostatic oscillation time of 8 min. The results of dynamic ion exchange separation experiment show that metal ions can react with D001 resin with sequence of Cu>Ni>Mn>Zn>Fe>Mg>Co. High concentration of purified cobalt solution is obtained by washing D001 resin with hydrochloric acid, and separation of cobalt and other metallic impurities is realized.
