Abstract:
Alkaline medium system was used to leach lead from spent lead paste. Effects of leaching time, temperature, NaOH concentration, and ratio of solid to liquid (S/L) on lead leaching efficiency were investigated. The interactions of these four factors to dissolve lead ionic were investigated through Box-Behnken response surface optimization experiment. The results demonstrate that lead leaching rate is 56.35% with lead concentration of 17.33 g/L under the optimum conditions including leaching time of 33 min, leaching temperature of 75 ℃, NaOH concentration of 7 mol/L, and S/L=43 g/L. The remaining solids are mainly PbO2, which can be used directly after purification.
