Abstract:
Reaction mechanism of separation and enrichment of REES by H3PO4 leaching were investigated through theoretical analysis, verification test, mineral microscope, SEM, EDS, XRD, EPMA, and chemical extraction. Namely, by leaching with H3PO4, phosphorus and calcium in fluorapatite are dissolved into solution, situ chemical reaction is carried out between element fluorine and calcium in fluorapatite crystal and produces new phase CaF2, and REES of about 95% in total are separated with phosphorus and enriched in phase CaF2 with isomorphism.
