| Abstract: |
| Hydroxyapatite coated quartz sands composite was prepared to remove heavy metal manganese in uranium tailing. PHREEQC was applied to calculate species of manganese in solution at different pH value. Adsorption mechanism was analyzed by five classical dynamic models. Removal efficiency of manganese by different ionic strength as well as anions and cations were expounded. The results show that there is a great difference in adsorption of manganese with different pH value conditions in that CO32- and PO43- can promote removal, while Cd2 , Mg2 and Mn2 compete on adsorption sites and reduce amount of adsorption. |
