Abstract:
Microstructures of calcined coke after asphalt infiltrating and baking were analyzed. Calcined coke with particle size of 1~1.6 mm is infiltrated with pitch and baked at 1 050 ℃ for 30 min. Reactivity of calcined coke with different sulfur content in CO2 or air was investigated after pitch infiltrating or infiltrating and blending. The results show that outside surface of calcined coke with particle size of 1~1.6 mm is pitch enclosed, and surface portion is filled pitch and fine calcined coke. CO2 reactivity of calcined coke with different sulfur content obviously drops, but reactivity in air presents the same bad tendency. Reactivity of calcined coke blended with different sulfur content is dramaticly deteriorated in CO2 or air.
