| Abstract: |
| Traditional preparation methods of rare earth metals include metallothermic reduction and high temperature molten salt electrolysis. Electrodeposition of rare earth metals becomes possible based on the emergence and rapid development of ionic liquids. Research results and progresses in electrodeposition of rare earth metals in ionic liquid at home and abroad in recent decades concerning treatment of spent fuel, recycling of valuable metals in wasted rare earth products, and research of functional materials are reviewed and main research development and direction in the future are proposed. |
