| Abstract: |
| To address high content of ferric iron in leachate of iron rich manganese oxide ores, jarosite precipitation was used to remove iron, and manganese carbonate ore was used to neutralize sulfuric acid produced in jarosite precipitation. Effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, (NH4)2SO4 dosage, and dosage of manganese carbonate ore on precipitation rate of iron and manganese leaching efficiency were investigated. The results show that iron removal rate is 95.7%, total leaching rate of manganese is 92.9%, and leaching rate of manganese carbonate ore is 88.3% under the conditions including reaction temperature of 95 ℃, reaction time of 180 min, (NH4)2SO4 dosage of 1.3 times of theoretical amount, and dosage of manganese carbonate ore of 12.0 g. |
