| Abstract: |
| Anhydrous yttrium chloride was prepared in chlorination equipment by gas phase method. Effects of hydrogen chloride gas consumption, reaction temperature, reaction time, and thickness of feed layer on RECl3 content in anhydrous yttrium chloride were investigated. The results show that average RECl3 content in high purity anhydrous yttrium chloride is 99.15% with average chlorination rate of rare earth oxide of 97.89% and average yield of rare earth of 99.33% under the conditions including hydrogen chloride gas consumption of 1.6 times of theoretical dosage, reaction temperature of 450 ℃, reaction time of 36 h, and thickness of feed layer of 10 cm. |
