| Abstract: |
| Copper concentrate capacity is improved from original design capacity of 440 kt/a to 1 300 kt/a. Improvement of furnace cooling system, which supports the balance between high concentrate load and furnace heat loads in reaction shaft, settler roof and side wall, R/S-settler joint area, is of significance in every plant repair periods, as a result of increased concentrate treatment capacity and raised S/Cu concentrate. The development and improvement in furnace cooling system is presented. |
